A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA FURTHER
AMENDING AND RE -DESIGNATING THE CENTRAL
BUSINESS DISTRICT SURVEY AREA NO. 1 TO
INCLUDE ADDITIONAL AREA FOR STUDY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City Council,.on October 4, 1971, by Resolu-
tion No. 4455, did designate Redevelopment Survey Area No. 1
in Downtown West Covina; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 11, 1978, by
Resolution No. 5831, did amend and redesignate Redevelopment
Survey Area No. 1 to include additional area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that said Redevelopment
Survey Area No. 1 be further amended and redesignated to
include additional area, and that such additional area be
studied to determine if an expansion of the Central Business
District Redevelopment Project Area to include all or part of
said additional area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, a redevelopment project might be initiated within
this area should it be found that such project is feasible; and
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Health and Safety
Code provides that a redevelopment survey area may be designated
by resolution of the City Council.
.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby further amends and redesignates
Redevelopment Survey Area No. 1 in the City of West Covina to
include the additional area illustrated on the map attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference.
2. The City Council hereby finds that said Redevelopment
Survey Area No. 1, as futher amended and redesignated, requires
study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within
said area are feasible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this resolution.
