A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST,
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
. ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REALPROPERTYFOR
PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES AND ALL USES
APPURTENANT THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
West Covina does hereby find, determine, and declare that
the public interest, convenience, and necessity require
the acquisition by said City of fee interests in and to
certain hereinafter described real property for public
street purposes and all uses appurtenant thereto.
That the project is planned or located in the
manner that will be most compatible with the greatest
public good and the least private injury;
That the taking of the interest of said pro-
perty as above -described is necessary to such use and is
authorized by Section 19 of Article I of the California
Constitution, Section 37350.5 of the California Govern-
ment Code, Sections 1240.010 through 1240.050 of the
California Code of Civil Procedure.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of
West Covina does hereby declare that it is the intention
of said City to acquire said property in its name in
accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of
California with reference to condemnation procedures.
SECTION 3. That said real property hereinabove
referred to the acquisition of which is required by said
public interest, convenience, and necessity for the purposes
set forth in Section 1 hereof, is located in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, and is more particularly
described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto andincorpor-
ated herein by reference and made a part hereof. A map
showing the general location of the property sought to be
acquired in this proceeding is marked Exhibit B attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference and made a part
hereof.
SECTION 4. That the City Attorney and the firm
of BURKE, WILLIAMS.& SORENSEN are hereby employed as special
counsel and are authorized and directed to prepare, institute,
and prosecute in the name of the City of West Covina such
proceedings in the proper Court having jurisdiction thereof
. as may be necessary for the acquisition of said real property
described in Section 3 hereof. Said counsels are also
authorized and directed to obtain an Order of Court granting
to said City the right of immediate possession and occupancy
of said property.,.

SECTION 5. Tha.t the City Clerk shall certify to the
pa.ssage and adoption of this Resolution, shall enter the same
in the book of original Resolutions of said City, shall make
a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes
of the.meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
SECTION 6. This Resolution shall be effective immediately.

State of California, as per map recorded in Book 8 Page 186 of
maps on file in the office of the County Recorder.of said County,
bounded as follows:
Bounded northerly by the southwesterly line of that certain strip
of land, 80.00 feet wide, described in Parcel 1 of the deed to
the City of West.Covina recorded in Book D-208, Page 204 of said
-official records; bounded southerly by the northerly boundary
line of the land designated as Parcel No. 416 in final order of
condemnation entered in Los Angeles County Superior Court Case
No. 759394, a certified copy of which was recorded in Book M-1176,
Page 349 of said official records; bounded easterly by the westerly
line of the .property described by a notice of non -responsibility,
recorded on November 21, 1966, in Book M-2394,. Page 605 of official
records, as Instrument No. 3014, bounded westerly by the easterly
line of the property described by a notice of non -responsibility,
recorded on July 26, 1965, as Instrument No. .2955, in Book M-1928,
Page 550 of Official Records. .
