A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
,COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE CITY
ENGINEER OF SAID CITY MADE PURSUANT TO THE REQUIRE-
MENTS OF RESOLUTION NO. 5869 OF SAID COUNCIL.
WEST COVINA STREET LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE
DISTRICT NO. 1979-1980.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California, did in
Resolution No. 5869, adopted February 28, 1979, pursuant to the provisions of
the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972" of the State of California (Part 2
of Division 15, Section 2250U et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of said
State), on
the City .Engineer to make and file with the City Clerk of the
City Council a report in writing, presenting certain matters relating to the
proposed installation of certain street lighting fixtures and appurtenances
and the proposed maintenance thereof, including the maintenance of all such
fixtures and appurtenances throughout the said City, and for the installation
.of certain landscaping and the maintenance.thereof, including the maintenance::
of existing landscaping in various areas Yw.ithin sai;d.City as contemplated under
the provisions of said "Landscaping and Lighting Act:of 1972"; and
WHEREAS, said City Engineer, pursuant to the requirements of said City
Council as expressed in Resolution No. 5869 and of said law,did make and on the
27th day of April , 197,9, file in the office of the City Clerk (who is
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council) of said City, his report in writing
responsive to the requirements of said Resolution No. 5869 and of said law
referred to in said Resolution No. 5869 and as,contemplated under the provisions
of said "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 197211; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has presented the said report to the City Council
of said City, and said Council has proceeded to carefully examine,-. inspect and
consider the said report and is satisfied with said report and with each and all
of the items therein set forth;
NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA ,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the report of the City Engineer of the City'of West
Covina, California, bearing date the 27th day of April , 1979, which said
report was prepared and filed pursuant to the requirements of the provisions of
Resolution No. 5869 of the City Council of said City and in conformity with the
provisions.of the "Landscaping and Lighting,Act of 197211, of the State of
California (Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of said
State), and which said report was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of West Covina, California, on the 27thday of April 1979, be
and the same is hereby approved as.so prepared, presented and filed. ,
SECTION 2. That the .City Clerk shall certify to.the passage and adoption
of thi's resolution; shall cause the same to be entered among the original reso-
lutions of the City Council of said City and shall make a minute of the passage
and adoption thereof i'n the records of the proceedings of the City Council of
said City. -An the minutes of 'the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
