A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA RELATING TO THE
COMPENSATION PAYABLE TO THE CITY
TREASURER.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 2501 of the West Covina Municipal Code (as
amended), the compensation for the City Treasurer is hereby fixed at $1,350 per month
(plus PERS benefits.of $101 .51 per month - employet:sshare).
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer shall also receive the following benefits:
(a) Holidays —Twelve and dne-half'-holidays per year, three of which
may be taken as floating holidays.
(b) Vacation - Fifteen days per year, with one additional day per year
after ten years,, to a maximum of twenty days.
(c) Sick Leave - One day per month, •with unlimited accumulation.
(d) Health Insurance - $60 per month (if no dependent is claimed) or
$75 per month (if a dependent is claimed) toward coverage by Blue Cross,
Kaiser, or Ross -Loos insurance programs or any other program which the
City may recognize in the future. Any excess to be used for additional
PERS, deferred compensation or life insurance.
• (e) Life Insurance - Protection in the amount of one-half of the annual
salary.
(f) Disability Income - When disabled as a result of a job -related injury,
the City pays 100% of the employee's salary up to one year.
(g) Long Term Disability Plan - The City covers the entire cost for this
premium. There is a 90 day elimination period before an employee is
eligible, and the plan covers up to a maximum of 50% of the employee's
gross salary up to the age of 65.
(h) Tuition Reimbursement - Reimbursement for job -related education as
described in the Tuition Reimbursement Plan.
(i) Retirement (PERS) - 2% at 60, 1957 and 1959 Survivor's Benefits.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective as of April 9, 1979.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
