A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
PURSUANT TO SECTION 35150(F) OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE (ISLAND
ANNEXATION 227, 228, 229, and 230).
The City Council of the City of West Covina does,resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings for the an-
nexation of certain inhabited territory to the City of West Covina pursuant to
the Municipal Organization Act, Part 2, Division 2, of Title 4 of the Govern-
ment Code.
SECTION 2. The proposed change of organization initiated by this re-
solution consists of four separate Island Annexations as allowed by Section
35150(F) of the Government Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. The territory to be annexed is individually and "epa-
rately completely surrounded or substantially surrounded by the City of West
Covina and in the unincorporated area of the County of Los Angeles in accord-
ance with procedures set forth in Section 35150(F) of the Government Code
and is specif.i.cally described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein.
. SECTION 4. This proposed reorganization consisting of four sepa-
rate Island Annexations will allow for a more effective and efficient deliv-
ery of government services to the residents and is consistent with the Legis-
lative findings and declarations set forth in the introductory prevision of
the Municipal Organizational Act of 1977.
SECTION 5. The City Council hereby adopts a plan for services to
be provided to the territory .to be annexed as required by Section 35102 of
the Government Code which is; speci.fically.described in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
• SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution..
