A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING AND
REDESIGNATING THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
SURVEY AREA NO. 1 TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL AREA
FOR STUDY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council, on October 4, 1971, by Resolution
No. 4455, did designate Redevelopment Survey Area. No. 1 in Downtown West
Covina; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that said Redevelopment
Survey Area No. 1 be amended and redesignated to include additional area,
and that such additional area be studied to determine if an expansion of
the Central Business District Redevelopment Project Area to include all or
part of said additional area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, a redevelopment project might be initiated within
this area should it be found that such project is feasible; and
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Health and
Safety Code provides that a redevelopment survey area may be designated
by resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby amends and redesignates Redevelop-
ment Survey Area No. 1 in the City of West Covina to include the additional
area illustrated on the map attached hereto and labeled as Exhibit "A" and
• incorporated herein.
2. The City Council hereby finds that said Redevelopment
Survey Area No. 1 requires study to determine if a redevelopment project or
projects within said area are feasible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this resolution.
