A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF
COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR THE MAINTEN-
ANCE OF SELECT SYSTEM STREETS THROUGHOUT THE
CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of
$109,650 of Aid to Cities funds for the maintenance of streets on
the City's approved Select System, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles on October 10, 1978
has previously approved an allocation of $50,000 of Aid to Cities
funds for the maintenance of streets on the City's approved
Select System.
NOW, THEREFORE, the.City Council of the City of West
Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested
to allocate $59,650 of Aid to Cities funds to the City for the
maintenance of those streets on the currently approved Select Sys-
tem of Streets (excluding State highways), on file with the
Division of Highways, State of California, and incorporated herein
by reference.
SECTION 2., After the allocation is approved by the Board
of Supervisors and funds are available, the County is requested to
send such allocated amount to the City. The City will begin using
the funds for the street maintenance according to the terms of the
• allocation.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and is directed to forward a certified copy of
this resolution to the Los Angeles Road Commissioner for processing.
