A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 5668 RELATING TO SALARIES AND MERIT
INCREASES OF EMPLOYEES.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
• resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Resolution No. 5668 is
hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 2. Section 3 of Resolution No.5668 is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of the following:
a. The salary of the City Manager shall be $42,000
per annum, beginning October 1, 1978, payable in
equal installments on regular City paydays. The
City will pay to the Public Employees Retirement
System (PERS) an amount equivalent to 7% of
the salary of the City Manager on behalf of the
employee's share of the retirement contribution,
including survivorbenefits.
b. This increase in the salary of the City Manager
. is intended solely as a merit step increase in
accordance with this Council's previously
established policy relating to Management employees
merit increases as set forth in Resolution No. 5770
and does'not include any cost of living considerations.
C. This merit step increase is granted to conform
with merit step increases given by this Council
to all other Management Employees pursuant to
Resolution No. 5668 adopted on March 27, 1978, at
which time through inadvertance and mistake, said
merit increase to the City Manager was not
included.
SECTION 3. Section 3 of Resolution No. 5507 approved
July 25th, 1977, is hereby superseded by this resolution.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
