A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA,_CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
COLLECTION OF THE ANNUAL SEWER SERVICE CHARGE
• THROUGH THE COUNTY GENERAL TAX BILL.
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina is empowered by State
law to fix an annual sewer service standby or immediate availabil-
ity charge; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina
has adopted by resolution such sewer service standby or immediate
availability charge; and
WHEREAS, the City may collect the standby or availabil-
ity charge by billing the charged lands on a fiscal year basis or
by other means available; and
WHEREAS, the City may collect the standby or availabil-
ity charge as a part of the annual general county tax bill; and
WHEREAS, the State law requires that a public hearing
be held on the proposed collection of the standby or availability
charge as part of the general tax bill:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION.'1. That a public hearing on the imposition of
said sewer standby or availability charge as a lien on real pro-
perty collectible through the County tax bill was held on July 24,
1978, at which time public testimony was received.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby authorize the collection of the annual sewer
service charge through the County general tax bill.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect
immediately, and the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same
to be entered among the original resolutions of the City Council
of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of
said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted.
