A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
(SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION NO. 226 - NORTHEAST
CORNER OF LA PUENTE ROAD AND NOGALES STREET)

WHEREAS, Southerly Annexation No. 226, an uninhabited
annexation located at the northeast corner of La Puente Road
and Nogales Street, was initiated and filed with the Local Agency
Formation Commission by the City of West Covina (described in
Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission approved
the subject annexation in their Resolution No. C-1978-16 and
authorized the City Council to annex the subject area without
notice and hearing and without an election; and
WHEREAS, the subject property will not be taxed for
any existing bonded indebtedness or contractual obligations:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of West Covina, California, does hereby approve
Southerly Annexation No. 226 as described in attached Exhibit A.
