A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING THE TREASURER TO DEPOSIT
SECURITIES FOR SAFEKEEPING. ,
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
• SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 53608 of the Government
Code, the Authority of the legislative body to deposit for
safekeeping with a state or national bank within this State
or with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco or any branch
thereof within this State securities in which the money of
the City of West Covina is invested is hereby delegated to
the City Treasurer. The Treasurer shall not be responsible
for securities delivered to and receipted for by a bank until
they are withdrawn from the bank by the Treasurer.
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to
establish Safekeeping Accounts as needed for the deposit of
securities and for which receipts shall be obtained.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall dertify to the adoption
of this resolution.
