A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED BY THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA TO RICHARD A. HAGGERTY, VALERIE A.
HAGGERTY, WERNER FRED BIEWERS AND YOLANDA-
BIEWERS, FOR A PORTION OF VACATED OLD BARRANCA
• STREET AND DIRECTING THE RECORDATION THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina
does hereby find and determine that the certain portion of old
Barranca Street now vacated described as follows:
That portion of Lot 8 in Block 26 of the Phillips
Tract, in the City of West Covina, in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map
recorded in Book 9, Pages 3 and 4 of miscellane-
ous records, in the office of the County Recorder,
of said County, bounded as follows:
Bounded westerly by a line that is parallel with
and 132.00 feet westerly, measured at right angles,
from the easterly line of said Lot 8; bounded
northerly by a line that is parallel with and
66.00 feet southerly, measured at right angles,
from the northerly line of said Lot 8; bounded
southeasterly by the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of the above
mentioned parallel lines; thence easterly, along
said parallel line that is parallel to the north-
erly line of said Lot 8, 65.66 feet to the be-
ginning of a tangent curve, concave southeasterly
and having a radius of 64.67 feet; thence westerly,
southwesterly and southerly, along said curve
through a delta of 900 46'36" an arc length of 102.46
feet to the point of tangency with the above men-
tioned line that is parallel with the easterly
line of said Lot 8.
is no longer needed for the public purposes for which it was
acquired and for any other public purpose that the public con-
venience and necessity require that the same be quitclaimed
to Richard A. Haggerty, Valerie A. Haggerty, Werner Fred
Biewers and Yolanda Biewers.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby author-
ized and instructed to execute in the name of the City of West
Covina a Quitclaim Deed conveying all right, title..and interest
of the City of West Covina in and to said real property to
Richard A. Haggerty, Valerie A. Haggerty, Werner Fred Biewers and
Yolanda Biewers, herein described, and cause the said Quitclaim
Deed and a certified copy of this resolution to be filed for
record in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los
Angeles.
• SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
