Resolution - 5694RESOLUTION NO. 5694 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA INITIATING THE ANNEX- ATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY (Easterly -Annexation District No. 225 - South of Cameron and West of Grand Avenues). The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation to the City of West Covina of that certain parcel of property contiguous to the City of West Covina and in the uninhabited area of the County of Los Angeles, which is specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. SECTION 2. The property proposed to be annexed has been pre -zoned by the City of West Covina to ensure that development of such properties is consistent with land use of contiguous properties. SECTION 3. The owners of the property proposed to be annexed have petitioned the City of West Covina to initiate annex- ation proceedings pursuant to Section 35100 et seq. of the Govern- ment Code of the State of California. • SECTION 4. The City Clerk and staff are authorized to cooperate with the owners of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto in the preparation of the necessary forms for sub- mitting the proposed annexation to,the Local Agency Formation Commission. s SECTION 5.
