RESOLUTION NO. 5666
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF PORTIONS OF CERTAIN DRAINAGE AND SLOPE
EASEMENTS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 27th day of February, 1978, at a
regular meeting of said Council, Resolution No. 5646 was
duly adopted by a vote of said Council setting the time for
hearing on the proposed vacation of portions of certain drain-
age and slope easements located within the City of West Covina.
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is more
particularly described as follows:
Those certain drainage and slope easements and
portions thereof, known as Parcels 3-S-6, 3-D-4,
3-D-4, 3-D-2, d-S-3, d-D-1 and 3-S-1 described
in the deed to the City of West Covina, recorded
on August 6, 1965 as Document No. 3399 in Book
D 3007 Pages 251 through 260 inclusive, of Off-
icial records in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, bounded as follows:
Bounded southerly by the southerly line of Tract
33664 per map recorded in_Book 890 Page 54 of
Maps on file in the office of said County Recorder;
bounded northerly by the northerly line of Parcel
1 per map recorded in Book 85, Pages 10 through
12 inclusive of records of survey on file in the
office of the County Recorder of said County.
(c) That on the 27th day of March, 1978, at a
regular Council Meeting, the said City Council did hold a
public hearing to determine whether the said area above -
described should be vacated as drainage and slope easements.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and
declared by the City Council of the City of West Covina,
after hearing the evidence adduced, that the abovedescribed
portions within the City of West Covina is not necessary for
present or prospective drainage and slope purposes and the
general welfare and convenience of the City of West Covina
require that the same be vacated. The said portions above -
described hereby are vacated as drainage and slope easements.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and cause the same to be recorded
with the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles
and to file all other necessary documents in order that this
vacation become effective.
