A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF
URBAN EXCHANGE FUNDS FROM THE 1970 FEDERAL
AID HIGHWAY ACT URBAN PROGRAM FOR THE RESUR-
FACING AND CHIP SEALING OF VARIOUS SELECT
SYSTEM STREETS.
• WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated
certain monies to the City of West Covina as Urban Exchange Funds;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount
of $27,889.00 of said funds accrued to the City for the resurfac-
ing and chip sealing of various streets on the City's approved
Select System.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested
to allocate $27,889.00 of the Urban Exchange Funds apportioned to
the City for the resurfacing and chip sealing of various streets
on the currently approved Select System of Streets (excluding
State highways), on file with the Division of Highways, State of
California, and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. After the allocation is approved by the
Board of Supervisors and funds are available, the County is re-
quested to send such allocated amount to the City. The City will
begin using the funds for the project according to the terms of
the allocation.
• SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and is directed to forward a certified copy
of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for
processing.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly

regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of March, 1978, by the
