A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
COVINA AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OFFICIALS TO FILE APPLICA-
TIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE DISASTER RELIEF
ACT (PUBLIC LAW 2881 93RD CONGRESS) OR OTHERWISE AVAILA-
BLE FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DISASTER RELIEF FUND.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Herman R. Fast, City Manager/Director of Office of Emergency
Services; Mark Volmert, Deputy Director of Office of Emergency Services; Leonard Eliot,
Assistant to City Manager/Controller; and Michael Miller, Public Service Director are hereby
authorized to execute for and in behalf of the City of West Covina, a public entity established
under the laws of the State of California, applications and to file them in the appropriate State
office for the purpose of obtaining certain Federal financial assistance under the Disaster Relief
Act (Public Law 288, 93rd Congress) or otherwise available from the President's Disaster Relief
Fund.
SECTION 2. The City of West Covina, a public entity established under the
laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agents to provide to the State and to the
Federal Disaster Assistance Administration (FDAA), Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) for all matters pertaining to such Federal disaster assistance the assurances and agreements re-
quired to qualify for such assistance.
