RESOLUTION NO. 5630
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA INITIATING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY (Southerly Annexation District
Number 226 —Northeast Corner of
La Puente Road and Nogales Street)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings
for the annexation to the City of West Covina of that certain
parcel of property contiguous to the City of West Covina and in
the uninhabited area of the County of Los Angeles, which is
specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. The owner of the property proposed to be annexed
has processed a pre -zoning application in the City of West Covina
to develop the property that is proposed to be annexed together
with contiguous property owned by him within the City of West
Covina for commercial use. The property proposed to be annexed
is located northeast of the intersection of Nogales Street and
La Puente Road and can only be developed in conjunction with the
contiguous property to the north.
SECTION 3. The owner of the property proposed to be annexed
has petitioned the City of West Covina to initiate annexation pro-
ceedings pursuant to Section 35100 et seq. of the Government Code
of the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk and staff are authorized to
cooperate with the owner of the property described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto in the preparation of the necessary forms for
submitting the proposed annexation to the Local Agency Formation
Commission.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.

territory of Los Angeles County, California as said 'Tract is shown on a map
filed in Book 20, Pages 14 and 15 of Maps, Records of said County
lying within that portion of La Puente Road as vacated , per Resolution
No. 22, Recorded Vebruary 9, 1976 as Instrument No. 2984, and Using
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the northerly boundary of La Puente
Road as shown on a map filed in Book 85, Pages 10 through 12 of Record
of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, said
northerly boundary also tieing the southwesterly boundary of the City of
West Covina per "West Covina southlery Annex District No. 158" adopted
is by the City Council of the City of West Covina November 10, 1958 by
Ordiance No. 604, with a line parallel with and 50.00 feet easterly,
measured at right angles, from the centerline of Nogales Streetas shown
on said map; thence southerly along said parallel line South5*08131" West,
28. 47 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave northeasterly, and
having a radius of 27. 00 feet, the easterly terminus of said curve being
tangent to a line parallel with and 80.00 feet northerly, measured at right
