RESOLUTION NO. 5624
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A,CERTAIN PORTION OF WOODLANE DRIVE.
The City Council of the City of West, Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 12th day of December, 1977, at a
regular meeting of said Council, Resolution No. 5601 was
duly adopted by a vote of said Council setting the time for
hearing on the proposed vacation of a certain portion of
Woodlane Drive located within the.City of West Covina:
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is more
particularly described as follows:
The most easterly 5.00 feet of Woodlane Drive,
50.00 feet wide, in the City of West Covina,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as
shown on Tract Map No. 31095, per map recorded
in Book 799, Pages 99 and 100 of Maps on file
in the office of the County Recorder of said
County.
RESERVING AND EXCEPTING THEREFROM the permanent
easement and right at any time or from time to time, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew
sanitary sewers and appurtenant structures thereof and to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew, and
enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and
other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for
the operation of gas pipe lines,.telegraphic and telephone
lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electric
energy, water and water lines including access and the right
to keep the property free from inflammable materials and wood
growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in,
upon and over the street or part thereof to be vacated.
(c) That on the 9th day of January, 1978, at a
regular Council Meeting, the said City Council did hold a
public hearing to determine whether the said area .ab-ove-
described should be vacated as a public street.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and
declared by the City Council of the City of West Covina,
after hearing the evidence adduced, that the above -described
portions within the City of West Covina is not necessary for
present or prospective public street purposes and the general
welfare and convenience of the City of West Covina require
that the same be vacated. The said portions above -described
hereby are vacated as public streets.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution andcause the same to be recorded
with the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles
and to file all other necessary documents in order that this
• vacation become effective.
