RESOLUTION NO. 5614
A RESOLUTION*OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA APPROVING
AND CERTIFYINGA NEGATIVE DECLARATION
OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FOR THE DEL
NORTE :PARK SPECIFIC PLAN.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The Specific Plan for Del Norte Park is a
part of the implementation of the Environmental Quality Element
of the adopted'Comprehensive General Plan'of the City.of West
Covina.
SECTION 2. Del Norte Park is' -a neighborhood park and
the proposed Specific Plan for its development meets not only the
short range, but also` -the long range needs of the area it is
designed to serve'.
SECTION 3. In.connection with -the evaluation of the
proposed project,, the Planning Director"of.the City of West Covina
analyzed the project and determined that it"will not have a signi-
ficant impact on the environment -"and prepared and filed a Negative
Declaration of Environmental Impact.
SECTION 4. Public hearings on the.Negative Declaration
of Environmental Impact were duly and regularly field, after notice,
by both the Planning Commission and the Cty'Council.
• SECTION 5'. The City Council hereby finds and determines
that the principal tcorisequences.of this project including off -site
traffic noise and air pollution, will not have".a significant adverse
impact upon the environment.
SECTION 6. The City Council.her.eby finds and determines
that the Negative Declaration of"Environmental Impact for the
project has been prepared in -accordance with the California Environ-
mental -Quality Act of 1970 and the State°Guidelines, and is hereby
approved and shall be certified as required by law.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk -'shall, certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
