Resolution - 5605RESOLUTION NO. 5605 .A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF -WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CLASS • SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CLASS OF PHOTO TECHNICIAN AND AMENDING SECTION VII OF RESOLUTION NO. 1277 ADJUSTING THE COMPENSATION PAYABLE TO THE CLASS. The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Personnel Board, the class specifications for the class of Photo Technician are hereby repealed, and new class specifications for the class of Photo Technician, at Salary Range G-6a, as attached hereto, marked Exhibit A, and by this reference incorporated herein, are hereby adopted. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December , 1977. Performs related duties as re- quired. Representative Duties Operates cameras and artificial lighting, equipment -in taking black and white or color police -related pictures; crime scenes, traffic accidents, public relations and pictures of construction and engineering projects Pertinent to City functions; using special lenses, filters and other camera equipment as necessary. Also testifies in court when called. Assists Records Supervisor in the maintenance of inventory and in ordering. Mixes solutions and chemicals and develops, cuts, prints, mounts and labels pictures. L.nlarges, reduces and intensifies prints. Cleans, maintains and makes simple repairs to photographic equipment. Operates photographic copying machines and microfilm cameras. Files negatives and keeps work records. Operates projection equipment as necessary. Operates movie cameras and video -sound recordings equipment as necessary. :0 QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE Training and Experience: Graduation from high school (or substitution for appropriate-(:E.D. scores) and one year's commercial photographic ex- perience, including .taking pictures by artificial lights, developing films and processing prints and enlargements or satisfactory completion of.15 units -of photography in an accredited college or recognized professional Photography school. License: California Class "3" Driver's'License Other: Person in position may be required to be nn-call evenings and weekends. M
