A RESOLUTION `OF THE =_CITY. COUNCIL OF THE
'CITY'OF_WEST COVINA'ADOPTING THE--COMPRE-
HENSIVE-GENERAL, PLAN OF THE CITY OF WEST -
•? COVINA (1-977), - (Planning Commission

The City Council, of he 'City. of West Covina_ does resolve
as follows
SECTION 1: The City Council -does -hereby find, determine
and declare -'that proceedings for the adoption'of a new Comprehensive
General -Plan of the City of West Covina were duly initiated, that
notice of hearing -thereon -was -".duly given and published,: that public
hearings.thereon were duly held by -the Planning Commission and by
the City Council and that public convenience, necessity and general
,welfare require that the new Comprehensive General Plan -of the City
of West . Covina (197;7)-: be :adopted.
SECTION.2. The new Comprehensive General'Plan of .the City
of West Covina (1977) , a copy of which .is on file in the office -of
the City Clerk,.is•hereby zdopted-and, by th s-reference, incor-
porated herein and -made a-.part'hereof. The Comprehensive General
Plan hereby adopted shall supersede and -take the place of the
Comprehensive :General Plan of the .City of West ,Covina adopted in
1969.
SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby find.and declare
• that the Environmental Impact Report`:for the'project.as approved
by the Planning Commission.after notice and public hearing, is
adequate,.has.been prepared in accordance with the'California Environ-
mental Quality Act of 1970 and the State Guidelines:, and is hereby
adopted by.the City Council. The'City Council does also find and
declare that the Comprehensive.General.Plan of the City of West
Covina (1977) as adopted herein will -serve to enhance and.protect
the environment of the City of -West Covina. -
SECTION 4. ,The. City Clerk'shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
