• CITY OF WEST COVINA APPROVING AND CERTI _
FYING-.AN ENV IRONMENTAL.IMPACT REPORT FOR -
THE COMPREHENSIVE COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL PLAN OF.THE
CITY OF WEST--COVINA (197.7)'. -
The City.Council,of the City of West Covina does.hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Planning.Commission of the'City'•of.West Covina
duly initiated proceedings for:the-adop:tion of a new Comprehensive
General . Plan. for 'the ,City. of West Covina;, and
WHEREAS, a draft Environmental Impact Report was:prepared
for"the•project and
WHEREAS, a.:duly advertised_public hearing:was.held before
the Planning.Commission on -the draft Environmental Impact Report
on November 2, 1977-; and
WHEREAS,.the Planning -Commission of the City'of.West Covina
after evaluating the.dr'aft Environmental Impact Report, testimony
pertain.ing.to said document.and`Planning"'Department.comments-received
with respect to'such.r.eport, accepted the same..and referred it to
the City Council and
• WHEREAS, .a' duly advertised public "hearing was. held before
the City -Council oh-December..12, 1977, to -accept testimony.pertaining"
to -the Environmental -Impact -Report approved: by the Planning Commis-
sion and
WHEREAS, public comments werereceived with reference. to. the
Environmenta1.1mpact"Report together with:responses.to such comments
submitted by the Planning Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, . -BE IT RESOLVED --THATt". -/,
SECTION 1. The Environmental Impact_ Report is supplemented
to-include-the.Minutes of the City -Council meeting of ,December 12,
-1977, by incorporatiQri - of :.a. copy bf. said Minutes in the final
Environmental -Impact -Report: t a
SECTION 2•:. The City'Council hereby approves;'the final.
Environmental Impact Report"and.aertifies that said Environmental
Impact Report ha-'s 'been,.;completed- in ;accbrdance with. the -California
Environmental Qua lity_,Act.*'of . 1970 „,as.. amended, the State Guidelines
and -the City of -West Covina Environmental' Impact_Report Guidelines
and " shall be.. -certified "as .,required by law.
