The-City'*Council of✓the City o_f West Covina- does -resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1 "'Thee _specific., plain for the _Community .Park on
Shadow -:Oak Drive is a 'part - of. the implementation of the Environmental
Quality 'Element of the `adopted- General Plan of the 'City- of West
Covina.
SECTION 2 The Community Park on Shadow Oak Drive is a
community park, wi.th.a broader.service area..and more varied activi-
tie.s than a neighborhood park and meets not only,the short range,
but also the 16ng.range:needs'.of the.area -itis designed to serve.
SECTION 3. The Recreation and.Park Commission has reviewed
and approved said. specific, plan.
SECTION 4. ;The Planning Commission has reviewed and approved
the specific plan.
SECTION 5.-- It has been determined that -this project will
have -no significant impact on'.
the environment:
• SECTION-6.: A public. hearing has.provided',testimony
regarding the specific plan.
SECTION 7. The West Covina City.Council,hereby finds.that
the Community Park Specific Plan onShadow Oak Drive. -is consistent
with the goals and objectives of the General.Plan and adopts said
specific- plan, .:a .copy of-which`is on --.file in the City Clerk's
office and.by-this reference incorporated therein.
SECTION 8.. The City Clerk shall:certify to'the adoption
of this resolution: -
