A..RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL. OF THE,
CITY OF WEST`COVINA, APPROVING AND CERTI
FYING..A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF'ENVIRONMENTAL
i .IMPACT .FOR ZONE CHANGE NO. 525 (Jan Czuker) .•
The City Council of the City of West Covina .does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby -finds, -determines
and declares, that proceedings for Zone:Change No. 525 (Jan Czuker)
from Open Space (O-S) - to - Neighborhood Commercial" .(N-C) on property
located -at the northeast corner of Vincent Avenue and the San
Bernardino'Freeway,-:were'duly.initiated, that a Negative Declara-
tion' of Environmental Impact_.for the 'Zone Change was prepared by
the Planning_Department, and after�_hotice given as required by law,
public hearings thereon;were held'by.both-the Planning Commission
.and the City Council
SECTION 2. The City:'Counc l does•further find, determine
and declare, that the:.proposed zone,-change_will result in a develop
ment which,_will complement the existing-residential`neighborhood
to the east.by providing convenience shopping -and will have no
significant impact on the environment.
SECTION 3. The Negative Declaration -of Environmental
Impact.-for.Zone Change. No..525 has been prepared'in accordance
with the'California Environmental'Quality Act of 1970 and the .State
Guidelines,,'and.-is hereby approved and the. Planning.Director shall
certify the same as -required by law.
SECTION-4 The City,Clerk.shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
