RESOLUTION NO. 5571
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA DENYING
TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP NO. 8148 AND
DENYING VARIANCE NO. 745 AND
CERTIFYING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION
OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT THEREFOR
'(Creative Homes, Inc.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
Section 1. Creative Homes, Inc.', applied to the Planning
Commission for approval of -Tentative Parcel Map No. 8148 and the
approval of Variance No. 745 to permit the development of two single
family residences 'on a 1.2-acre parcel of land generally identified
as 1116 Spring Meadow Drive in the Hillside Overlay Zone. The
Planning Commission, by its Resolution No. 9-77-2786, denied the
Tentative Parcel Map and denied the Variance. The applicant appealed
the denial of the Tentative Parcel Map and the Variance to the City
Council.
Section 2. The City Council, after notice and public hearing,
does find and determine that the proposed division of the property
into two lots would be detrimental to the property in the immediate
vicinity and the proposed development would provide for a level of
density in the Hillside Overlay Zone contrary to the general welfare
of the City of West Covina.
Section 3.'' Tentative Parcel Map No. 8148 is hereby denied.
Variance No. 745 is hereby denied.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 24th day of October, 1977.
