A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN LAURENCE J. THOMPSON,
INC. AND THE CITY OF WEST COVINA.
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina entered into certain
contracts with Laurence J. Thompson, Inc. dated March 8, 1976
and July 25, 1975 for the rendering of special assessment
engineering services in the West Covina Street Lighting and
Landscaping Maintenance District No. 1976-1981, and West
Covina Landscaping Maintenance District -No. 4, and
WHEREAS, Laurence J. Thompson, Inc. has advised the
City that said corporation is being dissolved, and
WHEREAS, on August 22, 1977, Laurence J. Thompson,
Inc. duly adopted a corporate resolution assigning all duties
and responsibilities for rendering special assessment engineering
services in the aforementioned maintenance districts to Patrick
N. Rossetti, Assessment Engineer, and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the aforementioned contract
between the City of West Covina and Laurence J. Thompson, Inc.
is proposed to provide for said assignment of all duties and
responsibilities for rendering special assessment engineering
services under said contracts to Patrick N. Rossetti, Assessment
Engineer, and in addition thereto to provide.for payments of
all services rendered to Patrick N. Rossetti, Assessment Engineer;
• NOW., THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the amendment
to contracts between Laurence J. Thompson, Inc. and the City
of West Covina dated March 8, 1976, and July 25, 1975, respectively,
with said amendment to provide for the assignment of all duties
and responsibilities for rendering special assessment engineering
services in certain West Covina maintenance districts to Patrick
N. Rossetti, Assessment Engineer, and to further provide that
the payment for said services rendered to be made to Patrick
N. Rossetti, Assessment Engineer.
SECTION 2. The City Council, therefore, authorizes
the Mayor to execute said Amendment to Contract on behalf
of the City of West Covina.
SECTION 3. That all the remaining terms and provisions
of said contracts between the City of West Covina and Laurence
J. Thompson, .Inc. dated March 8, 1976, and July 25, 1975, res-
pectively, shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
