A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'OF WEST
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, FIXING. THE RATES OF TAXES AND
LEVYING TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1977.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as
fol lows:
. SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising the -sums of,money
necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property of the City
-of West Covina, as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said
City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1977, the rates for the different
portions of said City are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all
taxable property in the different portions of said City for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1977, in the number -of cents upon One Hundred Dollars of
the assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and
equalized by the --Assessment Appeals Board of the County -,of Los Angeles, and
with respect to certain -property as.assessed by the State Board of Equali-
zation and equalized by,said Board, and for the several funds and purposes
set forth in the following table, and taxes levied upon property in each
portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by -a district
number being at the rates set opposite the designation of the respective
funds in the column headed by the district number which is prefixed to the
description of such -portion of said City,as hereinafter stated.
TAXATION Z ISTRICT NO. 1, consisting of all the incorporated
area of the City,of West Covina, except that portion thereof included in
the West Covina Central Business District Redevelopment Project Area 1,
and Eastland Redevelopment Project.

CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA 1, con-
sisting of all that portion of the City,of West Covina included within
that area described in Document 2475, recorded on December 28, 1971, in
Book M3935-, Page 908, in the official records of the Registrar -Recorder
of Los Angeles County, California.
.EASTLAND REDEVELOPMENT'PROJECT, consisting of all that portion of
the City,of West Covina included within that area described in Document 3895,
recorded on July 30, 1975, in Book M5077, Page 572, in the official records
of the Registrar -Recorder of Los Angeles County, California.

SECTION 2. Pursuant to Resolution No.4934, adopted August 26,
1974, the Los Angeles County -Public Library Tax will be added to the West
Covina City Tax Rate in the amount as set by -the Board of Supervisors of
• said County.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk -shall certify to the adoption -of this
Resolution and the•.same shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
adoption. The C i ty�! C Jerk 'sha 1 1 i mmed i ate ly , after the adoption -of this
Resolution cause a certified copy thereof to be filed with the Auditor -
Controller -of the County,of Los Angeles. In accordance with Section 36936.1
of the Government Code, the City Clerk shall cause publication,of this
Resolution in the same manner and within the same time as ordinances are
required to be published.
