A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA REQUESTING AN ALLO-
CATION.AND PAYMENT OF COUNTY AID TO.CITIES`
FUNDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SELECT SYSTEM
t. STREETS.
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated
certain monies to the City of West Covina as County Aid to Cities;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of
$109,-000.00 of said funds accrued to the City for the maintenance
of streets -on the City's approved Select System.
NOW,, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION:1. The County of.Los Angeles is hereby -requested
to allocate $109,000.00 of the Aid to Cities funds apportioned to
.the City for the maintenance of those streets on the currently
..approved Select System of Streets (excluding State highways), on
'file with the Division of Highways, State of California, and in-
corporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. After the allocation is approved by the
Board of Supervisors and funds are available, the County is re-
quested to send such allocated amount to the City. The'City will
begin using the funds for the.street:maintenance according_ to the
terms of the allocation.
SECTION"3. The City Clerk:shall certify to the adoption
.of this resolution and is directed to forward a certified copy
of this resolution to the Los Angeles.County Road Commissioner
for processing.
