A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
• OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA MAKING
AN APPROPRIATION AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXPENDITURE OF REVENUE SHARING
FUNDS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The budget of expenditures of funds allocated
to the City of West Covina pursuant to the State and Local Fiscal
Assistance Act of 1972 as amended by the State and Local Fiscal
Assistance Amendments of 1976, for the fiscal year commencing
July 1, 1977 and ending on June 30, 1978, as prepared and submitted
by the City Manager and as modified by the City Council, is hereby
approved and adopted as the budget expenditures of revenue sharing
funds for said fiscal year. A copy of said budget is hereby ordered
filed in the Office of the City Clerk and shall be certified by the
City Clerk as having been adopted by this resolution.
SECTION:2,. From the effective date of said budget, the
total amount as stated therein for the several uses and purposes
specified shall be and is hereby appropriated for expenditure pur-
suant to the applicable ordinances of the City, State and Federal
law.
• SECTION 3. At the close of the fiscal year, unexpended
appropriations in the revenue sharing budget shall be encumbered
as necessary to financge-;Ioutstanding purchase commitments.
Unexpended appropriations for authorized but uncompleted projects
in the revenue sharing budget as approved by the City Council may
be carried forward to the next succeeding revenue sharing budget
upon recommendation of the Controller and approval of the City
Manager.
SECTION 4." The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
