A RESOLUTION OF THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA APPROVING AND
• AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF TRAINING
AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AND THE STATE
OF CALIFORN.IA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
SERVICES, CALIFORNIA STATE POLICE DIVISION.

.WHEREAS, the State of California Department of General
Services, California State Police Division, requires.written
Training Agreements from any agency participating in its training
programs; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of West Covina
desires from time to time to participate in certain training programs
sponsored and administered by the Department of General Services,
California State Police Division; and
WHEREAS,.the Police Department has requested that one of its
officers participate in the training program relating to the pro-
tection of public officials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of West.Covina as follows:
1. The.,Standard Training Agreement for Partici-
pation in the California State Police Specialized Law Enforcement
Academy is hereby approved and the Mayor. is authorized to execute
such training agreements, when required., for the fiscal years
1976-1977 and 1977-1978, and the City Clerk shall attest to the same.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
