RESOLUTION NO. 5471
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF A GRANT OF EASEMENT IN FAVOR
OF GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF CALIF-
ORNIA FOR UTILITY PURPOSES AND DIRECTING
THE RECORDATION THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby find and determine that the public con-
venience and necessity require that a Grant of Easement.
be executed in favor of General Telephone Company of Calif-
ornia for utility purposes over certain City -owned property
as described in the attached Exhibit "A" and by reference
hereto made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and instructed to execute in the name of the City
of West Covina a Grant of Easement, substantially in the form
attached, in favor of General Telephone Company of California
for utility purposes, and cause said Grant of Easement and a
certified copy of this resolution to be filed for record in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION:'3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of June ,
1977.

GRANT OF EASEMENT
THE GRANTOR', THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, a municipal corporation
hereby grant to the GENERAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation, herein-
after referred to as GRANTEE, its successors and assigns, an easement to construct, use, maintain,
operate, alter, add to, repair, replace, and/or remove its facilities, consisting of underground conduits,
manholes, pedestals, cables, wires, and appurtenances for the transmission of electric energy for com-
munication and other purposes over, in, under, across, and along that certain real property situated in
the County of LOS ANGELES ,
State of California, described as follows:
A strip of Land, 4 feet in width, lying within Parcel 4, as shown
on map filed in Book 85, pages 10 through 12 inclusive, of Record
of Surveys, in the Office of the Recorder of said County; the
northeasterly line of said strip being described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the centerlines of Shadow Oak
Drive, 80 feet wide as now established, and Nogales Street,100 feet
wide as now established; thence southeasterly, along said centerline
of said Nogales Street, 67 feet; thence southwesterly, as measured
. at right angles from said centerline of Nogales Street, 50 feet to
a point in the southwesterly line of said Nogales Street, said last
mentioned point being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence southeasterly,
along said southwesterly line a distance of 65 feet..

THE GRANTEE, its successors and assigns and their respective agents and employees, shall have
the right of ingress to and egress from said easement and every part thereof, at all times, for the purpose
of exercising the rights herein granted and shall have the right to remove such growth as may endanger or
