• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF A GRANT OF EASEMENT IN FAVOR
OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY
FOR UTILITY PURPOSES AND DIRECTING THE
RECORDATION THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby find and determine that the public conven-
ience and necessity require that a Grant of Easement.be
executed in favor of Southern California Edison Company for
utility purposes over certain City -owned property as des-
cribed in the attached Exhibit "A" and by reference hereto
made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and instructed to execute in the name of the City
of West Covina a Grant of Easement, substantially in the form
attached, in favor of Southern California Edison Company for
utility purposes, and cause said Grant of Easement and a
certified copy of this resolution to be filed for record in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
• SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.

northeasterly line of said strip being described as follows:

7-1906 Commencing at the intersection of the centerlines of Shadow Oak
MAP SIZE Drive, 80 feet wide as now established, and Nogales Street,10.0 feet
52-92 wide as now established; thence southeasterly,'along said centerline
of said Nogales Street, 67 feet; thence southwesterly, as measured
at right angles from said centerline of Nogales Street, 50 feet to
a point in the southwesterly line of said Nogales Street, said last

Grantor(s) agree(s) for themselves (h-..------- self), their (h----------) heirs and assigns, not to erect, place or
maintain, nor to permit the erection, placement or maintenance of any building, planter boxes, earth fill or
other structures except walls and fences on the above described real property. The Grantee, and its con-
tractors, agents and employees, shall have the right to trim or cut tree roots as may endanger or interfere
with said systems and shall have free access to said systems and every part thereof, at all times, for
the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted; provided, however, that in making any excavation on
said property of the Grantor(s), the Grantee shall make the same in such manner as will cause the least
injury to the surface of the ground around such excavation, and shall replace the earth so removed by it
and restore the surface of the ground to as near the same condition as it was prior to such excavation as is
practicable.
