A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
• CITY OF WEST COVINA VACATING AND ABAN-
DONING A PORTION OF A STREET WHICH HAS
BEEN SUPERSEDED BY RELOCATION (MAPLE -
GROVE STREET).
WHEREAS, when the County of Los Angeles realigned
a portion of Maplegrove Street requiring vacation, and
WHEREAS, there are no improvements on the remaining
unvacated strip of Maplegrove Street, and
WHEREAS, Bauer Development Company has requested the
vacation of the abovementioned portion of Maplegrove Street,
for better utilization of their development plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 1930 to 1934,
inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code, the City Council
of the City of West Covina hereby finds and determines that
the following described portion of Maplegrove Street has been
superseded by relocation:
. That portion of Lot 1 of Tract No. 517, in the City of West
Covina, County of Los Angeles, State of California as shown
on the map recorded in Book 15, Page 16 of Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said county, described as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel
with and distant 3000 feet southerly, measured at
right angles, from the centerline of Maplegrove
Street as shown on the map of Tract No. 28882 re-
corded in Book 786, Pages 60 to 63, inclusive, of
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said
County, with the northeasterly line of said Lot 1;
thence along said parallel line North 85032'59"
West 220.02 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave northerly and having a radius of
538.80 feet; thence northeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 11003'21" an arc distance
of 103.97 feet to a line parallel with and distant
20.00 feet southerly measured at right angles, from
said centerline of Maplegrove Street; thence along
said parallel line South 85032'59" East 110.26 feet
to said northeasterly line of said Lot 1; thence
along said northeasterly line South 28016'15" East
11.89 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
isSECTION 2. That portion of existing Maplegrove
Street described in Section 1 hereof is hereby summarily
vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy
thereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of said County.
