A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA , AMENDING SECTION VII
OF RESOLUTION NO. 1277, RELATING TO ALTERNATE
POSITIONS.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION I. Section VII of Resolution No. 1277 is hereby amended by
the addition of the following provision:
"VII.I Alternate, Positions
In addition to the number of positions established in this resolution,
there is hereby granted an unspecified additional number of positions.
Appointments shall not be made to any of these positions unless the
City Manager has determined the need for making such appointments,
and authorizes and assigns same; provided, .however, that a budgeted
equal or higher compensated vacant position(s) is frozen in lieu thereof.
In determining the equal or higher compensation criterion, total com-
pensation figures shall be utilized."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
