A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST .
COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE CITY"
• ENGINEER OF SAID CITY MADE PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS
OF RESOLUTION NO. 5411. OF SAID COUNCIL.
WEST COVINA STREET LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPING DISTRICT NO. 1977-1978•
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Covina, California, did in
Resolution No. 5411 adopted March 14„ 1977 , pursuant to the provisions of the
"Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972" of the State of California (Part'2 of
Division 15, Section 22,500 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of said
State), require the City Engineer to make and file with the Clerk of the City
Council a report in writing, presenting certain matters relating to the proposed
installation of certain street lighting fixtures and appurtenances and the proposed
maintenance thereof, including the maintenance of all such fixtures and appur-
tenances throughout the said City, and for the installation of certain landscaping
and the maintenance°thereof, including the maintenance of existing landscaping in
• various areas within said City as contemplated under the provisions of said
" Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972"; and
WHEREAS, said City Engineer, pursuant to the ,..requirements of said City
Council as expressed in Resolution No. 1.5411 and of.said law, did make and on
the 1st day of April 1977, file in the office of the City Clerk (who is
ex-officio Clerk of the City Council) of said City, his report in writing re-
sponsive to the requirements of said.Resolution No. _.541,1 and of said law
referred to in said Resolution No. 5411 and as contemplated under the provisions
of said "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972"; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has presented the said report to the City
Council of said City, and said Council has proceeded to carefully examine, in-
spect and consider the said report and is satisfied with said report and with
each and all of the items therein set forth;.
• NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE,. DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the report of,the City. Engineer of the City of West
Covina, California, bearing date the is t day of 'April 1977, which
said report was prepared and filed pursuant to the requirements of the provisions
of Resolution No. 5 411 of :the City Council of said. City and in conformity with
the provisions of the "Landscaping and Lighting Act of 197211, of the State of
• California (Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of said State),
and which said report was filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
West Covina, California, on the 1st day of April 1977, be and the
same is hereby approved as so prepared, presented and filed.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered among the original resolu-
tions of the City Council of said City and shall make a minute of the passage
and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of
said City in the minutes7 of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
