A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
• THE CITY OF WEST COVINA REQUESTING
THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO PROVIDE
INSPECTION SERVICES DURING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A STEEL WATER TANK
WHEREAS, the City of West Covina and the County of
Los Angeles have heretofore entered into a General Services Agreement
which provides for the furnishing of miscellaneous services by the
,County to the City upon request; and
WHEREAS, the City has authorized the award of a
contract for the construction of a steel water tank; and
WHEREAS, the County has Building Inspectors qualified
to provide inspection services during construction of the water tank.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of West Covina as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles is hereby respectfully requested to authorize the
Facilities Department'of the County of Los Angeles to provide inspection
services during the construction of a steel water tank on an "as
needed" basis.
• SECTION 2. The City of. West Covina agrees to pay for
those inspection services requested at the rate of $25.67 an hour
during the construction period. Payment will be made,upon the receipt
of invoices from the Facilities Department for the number of hours
actually worked on the City project by the Building Inspector.
SECTION 3. It is estimated that the inspection
services will be required commencing on or about April 11, 1977.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and transmit a copy thereof to the Chief
Administrative Officer of Los Angeles County, attention Mr. Chapman
Bone, Chief of the Special Services Division, for the processing
of this request to the Board of Supervisors.
