RESOLUTION NO. 5404
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CLASS
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CLASS OF SECRETARY AND
AMENDING FOOTNOTE NO. 6 OF SECTION VII OF
RESOLUTION NO. 1277 RELATING TO THE CLASS OF
SECRETARY.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the recommendations of the
Personnel Board new class specifications for the class of Secretary,
as attached hereto marked Exhibit A and by this reference incor-
porated herein, are hereby adopted.
SECTION 2.. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section
VII of Resolution No. 1277, Footnote No. 6 is amended to read
as follows:
"6. 'Secretary I' advances to 'Secretary II' upon
satisfactory completion of one year at the I level, recommendation
of the department head, and demonstration:::. of the skills required
of the II level. All appointments to Secretary positions effective
in February 1977 and thereafter shall be made to the class of
Secretary. A differential for 'department secretary' duties is
provided for in the class specifications for Secretary, dated
February 1977, upon meeting of all requirements. (As set forth
in that specification)."
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
