A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.
CITY OF WEST COVINA. DENYING .A. VARIANCE
(Variance Application No. 733 - First Chiirch�of
• Christ, Scientist).
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined that the application
of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, for a variance to permit the reduction
in the size of a parcel of land devoted to church purposes and the creation of a
single family residential lot of less than 74 feet in width on that certain -property
generally described as Parcel 1 of Parcel Map 4939 per map recorded in Book
55, Page 26,, of -Official Records of Los Angeles County and located in the Resi-
dential -Agricultural. Zone, Area District 2, was duly made, that.a hearing thereon
was duly held by the Planning Commission after legal notice thereof, that the
Planning Commission denied said variance by its Resolution No. 11-76-2696, that
said action was called up by the City Council and the City Council held a hearing
thereon after legal notice thereof.
SECTION 2. It is hereby found by the City Council that the proposed
division of the property into two sub -standard parcels would be detrimental to the
property in the immediate vicinity and the physical characteristics of the property
and ,the proposed development would be contrary to the general welfare of the
City of West Covina.
• SECTION 3. Variance Application No. 733 is hereby denied.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
