RESOLUTION NO. 5355
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ENTER INTO
A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE WEST COVINA
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CON-
STRUCTING A SWIMMING POOL AT WEST COVINA HIGH SCHOOL
WHEREAS, The City of West Covina has prepared an application
for funding under the Public Works Employment Act of 1976 for the purpose
of constructing a swimming pool and has expressed an interest in a joint
maintenance and operations agreement with the West Covina Unified School
District; and
WHEREAS, The West Covina Unified School District is inter-
ested in having a swimming pool located at the West Covina High School site:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the West Covina City Council
does hereby approve this joint effort with the West Covina Unified School
District upon the following terms and conditions:
1. The School District's commitment is limited to providing
a site suitable to both the City and School District
through completion of the construction project;
2. A joint maintenance and operations agreement,acceptable
to both the City and School District, will be executed
prior to the bidding for the construction of subject
project with such agreement to take effect upon com-
pletion of the project;
3. The City shall be responsible for restoration of the
site should the construction project not be completed.
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this resolution.

duly adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of November, 1976 by the following vote
