RESOLUTION NO. 5344
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RULE III.6 OF
THE PERSONNEL RULES (RESOLUTION NO. 1276) RELAT-
ING TO REINSTATEMENT.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the Personnel
Board, Section III.6 of the Personnel Rules (Resolution No. 1276) is
amended to read:
"III.6 Reinstatement
The appointing authority may, with the approval
of the Personnel Officer,.reinstate any person
who has resigned in good standing, provided that
such reinstatement is accomplished within one
(1) year of the date of resignation. Such rein-
statement action may, at the discretion of the
appointing authority, take precedence over any
employment list except a re-employment list. Any
person so reinstated shall be subject to a new
probationary period of the same length as estab-
lished for new appointees to a position in the
class."
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
