A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING A CORPORATION GRANT DEED
EXECUTED BY THE COVINA-VALLEY UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE CAMERON AVENUE
PARK SITE, AND DIRECTING THE RECORDATION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Covina -Valley Unified School District is the owner
of a certain parcel of land which is no longer required for present
or prospective public school class room purposes and which is
commonly known and referred to herein as the Cameron Avenue Park
Site (see attached description), and
WHEREAS, in the manner provided by law, Covina -Valley Unified
School District has heretofore offered to sell the Cameron Avenue
Park Site to the City of West Covina for park purposes, and
WHEREAS, City has applied to the State Department of Parks
and Recreation for a grant of funds pursuant to the State Beach,
• Park, Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974 for
the purchase of the Cameron Avenue Park Site, and
WHEREAS, the City's grant application has been approved by
the State Department of Parks and Recreation and funds have been
received by the City for the purchase of. this park site, and
WHEREAS, a grant deed has been executed by the Covina -Valley
Unified School District conveying the subject property to the City
of West Covina for a consideration in the amount of $130,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council hereby
accepts the Corporation Grant Deed executed by the Covina -Valley
Unified School District and directs the recordation thereof.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution No. 5279 was
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of West Covina at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of July, 1976, by the
