A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA FIXING THE COMPENSATION AND
RELATED BENEFITS PAYABLE TO THE CITY MANAGER.
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. This resolution shall be applicable to the
position of City Manager from and after the date upon which the
appointee to that position takes office.
SECTION 2. The salary of the City Manager shall be
$36,000.00 per annum payable in equal installments on regular
City pay days. The City will pay to the Public Employees
Retirement System (PERS) the amount defined by PERS as deferred
compensation equivalent to 70 of the salary of the City Manager
on behalf of the employee's share of the retirement contribution
including survivor benefits.
SECTION 3. Upon the effective date of his employment
the City Manager shall be credited with eleven years of prior service
for the purpose of computing sick leave and vacation benefits.
During the first year of his employment the City Manager shall be
entitled to a vacation of 10 working days with full pay.
SECTION 4. The City Manager shall be entitled to a lump
sum payment of $2,000.00 for the expenses incurred in the sale of
his personal residence. The lump sum amount shall be due and
payable upon the date his personal residence is sold. In addition,
• the City shall reimburse the City Manager for the reasonable and
necessary costs incurred by him in moving his household goods to
a residence within the City of West Covina.
SECTION 5. The City Manager shall be furnished an
automobile for his official use at City expense.
SECTION 6. Except as otherwise provided in this reso-
lution, Section 2411 of the West Covina Municipal Code shall
apply to the position of City Manager.

SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of,�this resolution.
