RESOLUTION NO. 5255
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA DENYING ZONE CHANGE NO. 503 (Mayer
Construction Co., Inc.)
The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Mayer Construction Company, Inc. applied
to the Planning Commission for approval of a change in zone for
a 6.01 net acre parcel of land located east of Barranca Street
and north of Virginia Avenue from R-A (Residential Agricultural)
Zone to the MF-8 (Multi -Family) Zone. The Planning Commission
recommended approval of the change of zone by its Resolution
No. 5-76-2656 (a). The matter came regularly before the City
Council for consideration.
SECTION 2. The City Council, after notice and public
hearing does find that the proposed change in zone would be
detrimental to the property in the immediate vicinity and there
has been no demonstrated need for the development of the property
for a more intense use. The change of zone would be contrary to
the public interest.
SECTION 3. Zone Change No. 503 is hereby denied.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
