RESOLUTION NO. 5190
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA COMMENDING DR. CLIFFORD S.
THYBERG FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY.
WHEREAS, DR.. THYBERG has served as Superintendent of Schools
in the West Covina Unified School District since
1948; and
WHEREAS, through his affiliation with fraternal and professional
organizations, DR. THYBERG has been a significant
contributor to education including his leadership
as President of the Society of Delta Epsilon, Los
Angeles County Administrators, and Whittier College
Educational Alumni'Association; and
WHEREAS, DR. THYBERG has been unceasing in his community
endeavors, serving the West Covina Rotary Club,
holding the office of President in 1970, the West
Covina Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors
of the YMCA, which demonstrated his complete concern
for our City:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA hereby commends DR. CLIFFORD S. THYBERG
for his services to the City and expresses herewith
sincere appreciation for his dedication to the West
Covina Unified School District and offers best wishes
for a well-earned retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and shall transmit a
certified copy thereof to DR. CLIFFORD S. THYBERG.
