A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A CERTAIN WALKWAY DEDICATED PER TRACT
18205 ADJACENT TO AZUSA AVENUE, SUBJECT
TO THE RESTRICTION AND EXCEPTION OF
CERTAIN RIGHTS`AND EASEMENT.
. The City Council of the City of West Covina does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West
Covina does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows:
(a) That on the 14th day of October, 1975, at a
regular meeting'of said Council, Resolution No. 5122 was
duly adopted by a vote of said Council, setting the time
for hearing on the proposed vacation of a certain walkway
located within the City of West Covina;
(b) That said area proposed to be vacated is
more particularly described as follows:
That certain walk 10.00 wide shown' on
Tract 18205, in the City of West Covina,
County of Los Angeles, State of California,
per map recorded in Book 490, Pages 30
through 32 of Maps on file in the office
• of the County Recorder of said County.
Reserving and excepting from said vacation
the permanent easement and right at any
time, or from time to time, to construct,
maintain., operate, replace, remove and re-
new drainage structures, including access
and the right to keep the property free
from inflammable materials, and wood growth,
and otherwise protect the same from all
hazards in, upon and over the part thereof
vacated.
(c) That on the 10th day of November, 1975, at a
regular.Council meeting the said City Council did hold a
public hearing to determine whether the said area above -
described should be vacated as a walkway.
SECTION 2. It hereby is found, determined, and
declared by the City Council of the,City of West Covina,
after hearing the evidence adduces, that the above -described
walkway within the City of West Covina is not necessary for
present or prospective public purposes and the general wel-
fare and -convenience of the City of West Covina require that
the same be vacated. The said walkway described hereby is
vacated.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and cause the same to be recorded
with the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles
and to file all other necessary documents in order that this
vacation become effective.
