A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF.A CORPORATION QUITCLAIM
DEED AND DIRECTING THE RECORDATION THEREOF
The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina
does hereby find and determine that those certain portions of West Covina
Parkway, now vacated, and City -owned property severed from the original
parcel, upon creation of West Covina Parkway underpass, described as follows:
That portion of Lot 122 of E. J. Ba.ldwin's fourth subdivision of
part of the Rancho La Puente, in the City of West Covina, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on map recorded in
Book 8, Page 186 of Maps on file in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly terminus of that certain curve
described as having a radius of 497.34 feet in Parcel 4 of the
Deed to the City of West Covina, recorded November 20, 1961 as
Instrument No. 3271 in Book D1425, Page 787 et seq., of Official
Records; thence northwesterly, along said curve, to the southwesterly
line of the northeasterly 50.00 feet of said lot; thence, along said
southwesterly line, North 480 44' 15" west, 196.36 feet; thence
North 530 40' 26" west, 53.92 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
• thence, continuing North 530 40' 26" west, 120.00 feet; thence
North 860 52' 54" west, 68.15 feet; thence South.390 42' 41" west,
58.72 feet to a curve, last said course being tangent thereto,
said curve being concave northwesterly and having a radius of
224.00 feet; thence southwesterly, along last said curve, through _
an angle of 430 53' 17" an arc distance of 171.58 feet to a point
in the southerly line of above -mentioned Parcel 4; thence easterly,
along said southerly line, South 820 01' 34" east, 204.07 feet;
thence North 620 04' 38" east, 166.93 feet to the True Point of
Beginning,
is no longer needed for the public purposes for which it was acquired and
for any other public purpose that the public convenience and necessity
require;that the same be quitclaimed to the Redevelopment Agency of the
City of West Covina.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
` instructed to execute in the name of the City of West Covina a Quitclaim
Deed conveying all right, title and interest of the City of West Covina
in and to said real property to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
West Covina herein described, and cause the said Quitclaim Deed and a
certified copy of this resolution to be filed for record in the office of
the County. Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
