A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST COVINA., CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING WILLIAM
"BILL" VANETTES FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY.
WHEREAS, WILLIAM VANETTES was appointed as the City's first
.Communications Director on October 2, 1968; and
WHEREAS, MR. VANETTES served the City admirably in this
capacity for seven years and under his energetic
leadership, the Communications Department took
great strides in areas of telecommunications and
new methods designed to dispatch messages to our
public safety departments withthe maximum effi-
ciency in the minimum time allotment; and
WHEREAS, BILL VANETTES was highly esteemed by his fellow
employees and admired for his conscientiousness
and dedication to duty and will be truly missed.
by all City employees who knew him; and
WHEREAS, MR. VANETTES accepted employment in a commercial
capacity which will add greatly to his already
incomparable expertise:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of West Covina hereby commends and honors
WILLIAM "BILL"'VANETTES for his outstanding con-
tributions to the growth of our City and wishes
him good luck in all future endeavors.
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption.of this resolution and shall
transmit a certified copy thereof to WILLIAM
"BILL" VANETTES.
