A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST COVINA DENYING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING
TO OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR
THEATERS (Amendment No. 127).
WHEREAS, there was filed with the Planning Commission
a recommendation of the Planning Director that the West Covina
Municipal Code be amended to reduce the off-street parking require-
ments for theaters, which recommendation is identified in the
records of the Planning Department as Amendment No. 127, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after notice and
hearing, recommended to the City Council that Amendment No. 127
be denied, and
WHEREAS, after notice and hearing, the City Council
found and determined that the public peace and safety does not
require the adoption of Amendment No. 127;
.NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of West
Covina does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Proposed Amendment No. 127 to the zoning
provisions of the West Covina Municipal Code to reduce the off-
street parking requirements for theaters is hereby denied.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
