A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST COVINA ENDORSING THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
RAPID TRANSIT DISTRICT BUS SERVICE IMPROVEMENT
PROPOSALS FOR THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY.
WHEREAS, the Southern California Rapid Transit District
• bus service improvement proposals involve more frequent bus service,
straighter and easier to use routes, and more efficient transfer
connections, and
•

WHEREAS, these service improvement proposals recognize
the increasing public need for improved public transportation and
are a significant short-term improvement proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of West Covina
hereby endorses and supports the Southern California Rapid Transit
District bus service improvement proposals for the San Gabriel
Valley.
SECTION 2. A certified copy of this resolution shall be
forwarded to appropriate parties and agencies within the County of
Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
