Resolution - 5077• RESOLUTION NO. 5077 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST COVINA CORRECTING, RELOCATING AND ALTERING THE COMMON BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE CITY OF WEST COVINA AND THE CITY OF COVINA. The City Council of the City of West Covina does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. On June 11, 1975, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Los Angeles by resolution approved the minor boundary relocation designated as "Annexation No. 221 to the City of West Covina (Detachment from the City of Covina)". SECTION 2. On March 17, 1975, the City Council of the City of Covina adopted Resolution No. 3342 consenting to the proposed relocation of boundaries between the City of West Covina and the City of Covina; a certified copy of the resolution of the City Council of the City of Covina in on file with the City Clerk of the City of West Covina. SECTION 3. Pursuant to the authority conferred upon it by law, the City Council of the City of West Covina does hereby approve the relocation of the common boundary between the City of West Covina and the City of Covina in accordance with the description of Proposed Minor Boundary Relocation under the Boundary Relocation provisions of Section 50190 et seq. of the Government Code (Annexa- tion No. 221 to the City of West Covina) attached hereto as Exhibit "A" SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall forward certified copies • of this resolution to the Secretary of State, to the Board of Super- visors of the County of Los Angeles, and to the City Clerk of the City of Covina. • SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall also execute and file in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles an Affidavit stating that all requirements of the laws pertaining to the pro- ceedings for relocation of the common boundary between the City of West Covina and the City of Covina have been complied with, which Affidavit shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the corrected, relocated and altered boundary between said City and the City of Covina as set forth in such proceedings and also by a map delineating such boundary and the Certificate of Secretary of State acknowledging the filing of this resolution in his office, all as contemplated in the laws of the State of California relating to the completion of proceedings for the correction, relocation and alteration of city boundaries. The City Clerk shall also and is hereby instructed to prepare, execute and file with the State Board of Equalization and other Offices, Boards and Agencies, such further or additional statements, documents, maps, plats, descriptions and data as may be required in connection with said correction, relocation and alteration of the common boundary between the City of West Covina and the City of Covina under the laws of the State of California. SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Adopted and approved this 23rd day of June 1975. Covina and include within the City of West Covina all that land within 3 the ,City of Covina described as follows: a Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 2 in Block 27 'of Phillips.Tract as shown on map recorded in Book 9, pages 3 and 4 of *Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the Recorder of the County r- of Los'Angeles,, said corner being a point in the boundary of the' City of West'Covina as same existed on April 2, 1975; thence. westerly along the northerly line of said lot to a line parallel.. with and 26 feet westerly, measured at right angles, from the r. easterly line of said lot; thence southerly along said parallel.line • to the southerly line of said lot; thence easterly and northerly:. along said boundary to the point of beginning.
